POWERHEAD HELP

i just got a AQUACLEAR POWERHEAD 802 its driving me crazy i dont know how to use it the instructions are bogus this has a reverse flow movement and regular what should i use do powerheads need airpumps im am so lost if anybody can help me out with this thing and installing it please help

The 802 air option is for forward flow. Hook the hose that came with the head it fits in stub that is aimed up. When the 802 is in forward flow(the green bar position)it will siphon air in to the water being pumped through. If you put it in reverse flow(slide bar mainly red) it doesn't pull air. The more of the green you see the more water is being pumped up through the bottem, and just the opposite for the red. The yellow switch not positive but think it's to block large particles. Hope this helps.
