powerhead placement?

how should I arrange my powerheads for the best possible water movement? Should I place one at each end of the tank, or have them blowing in an X pattern? Just trying to figure out the best possible set up.

I have mine facing each other. It gets some cross currents. And if you don't have a sump it'll help to have one breaking the surface for gas exchange. Every so often I move them around so not to get dead spots. Hope this helps.
