powerhead placement

I have ntocied several photos on here of people who are putting their Koralia close to the bottom of the tank. Is there a good reason for this ? I have always had mine 5-6 inches from the top angled toward the front glass.
Juts wondered what everyone else was doing and why ?

So much depends on tank set-up and other sources for water movement. But i always have a PH or two near the bottom and angeled up. I think providing some surface disturbance really helps gas exchange and having a good PH near the bottom provides whole-tank circulation; circulating all tank water and keeping the surface at a small ripple.

^^^ I do the same with mine. Helps to keep the water circulating full circle and surface agitation. I originally had mine that way because it was recommended in the manual to aim it upwards. Turns out it was a good recommendation :)

I have a small power head pointed at my cave to make sure there are no dead spots. I have flow needy corals in the cave. I place my main PHs mid tank level and point upward, toward the front glass. I also have a spray bar parallel, in the back of the tank to push water across the back of the rocks.

i have mine at the bottom because my returns push the water across the top... so mine are in the bottom front corners pointing toward the middle and the top...
