Powerhead Question

I have a 70-gallon reef tank...empty, starting from scratch. Will four 295 GPH Maxi-Jet powerheads in addition to a chemical filter and protein skimmer "do the trick" to provide sufficient water movement? The previous owner did not have any powerheads in the tank. Any pros/cons for Maxi-Jets? If cons, suggestions for another brand would be helpful. Thanks!

I believe you are speaking of the Maxijet 1200's. If so, that should be sufficient as it gives you 16.8x turnover, and skimmer/and/or filtration would be additional.
IMO Maxijets are the best. I highly recommend them. Additionaly, if you are ever to add a wavemaker, they are built to take the "abuse" of these devices.
