I recently set up a 90 gallon swt and was wondering how much circulation I need for a tank this size. Can someone recommend a good powerhead to use and how many I will need? Thanks

I've heard you want 10 times the size of your tank. So, if you have a 90 gallon, you would want 900 gallons per hour of flow. The Marineland Penguin 1140 does about 300 gph. You could get 3 of those and you'd be good.
300 + 300 + 300 = 900
It could also depend on the type of filtration you have. Say if you have a Emperor 400, then it's cycling 400 gph. With that, you could get by with just 2 of the 1140 powrheads.
400 + 300 + 300 = 1000

I've read, 10 - 20 X water flow. If you are planning on setting up a reef that is when you will want the extra flow. The maxi-jet 1200 is also a good powerhead. Most people on this site will tell you it gives you the most bang for your buck. it also does about 300 gph.
