Hi everyone! I am still new at this. I Have a 100 gallon fish only setup. right now I have 1 powerhead that does 295Gph. someone told me that I need aboout 3 of those. Is that true? If it is true how should I set them up in the tank? should I put all 3 on one side or should I put 1 on one side and 1 one on the other and then one on the back? Please help me with some suggestions!!

I think at least two would be good. One on either side at the rear of the tank pointing at the center of the front glass. You may also want one pointed across the surface of the water. The ripple effect this creates will add much needed oxegen to the water...

What other water movement do you have? 100g 5' or 4'? Do you have a sump or skimmer? If you don't use a sump I would go with at least 3. it helps keep ph stable and some fish need /like current. 3 powerheads isn't that much. In a fo i would have at least 5x turn over. = put o2 into the tank and most animals come from area where theres alot of current. I would put 2 on different levels and 1 on the opp side.
