Powerhead Timer?

I have 2 powerheads in my 45gal corner tank placed on opposite sides one high and one low with lr in the center portion of the tank. I am also running a wet/dry hanging filter on the back, which with all 3 running gives me alot of water movement. should I place the powerheads on timers to give my "little freinds" a rest from the currents?
2 Yellow Tail Damsels
1 Pep. Shrimp
4 T-snails
2-Blue Legged crabs
1-scarlet crab
1-Hermit crab
More to come as the tank matures.
Thanks

you could do it if you want, your little friends don't need it to be happy. Be careful I have hagen 802 powerheads that I hooked up to a Red Sea wave maker (fancy time clock) and the starting and stoping wore out the impellers really fast. I have been told that Maxi-jet powerheads are the only ones that will work.

There is really no need to put them on timers if you don't want to. The fish can find places where the current is not bad.
