Powerhead ?

I am going to order a new powerhead from swf.com here and have a quick question. I currently have a 55 gallon tank but am planning on upgrading to a 90 or 125 probably in a year. What powerhead(s) should I order for my tank so I can use them now and still use them in a bigger tank later on? I was looking at getting possibly 2 maxi-jet 1200's but I am not sure. Are the Rio PH's better? Thanks for any help!

Id go with the maxi jet. Rio's are known to be bad. I have one and like it but thats what I hear on here.

go with the maxi 1200's, then when you upgrade you can do the mod to them and get 1500- 2400 gph out of em.

Thanks for the info! Sounds like I am going to go with the MJ1200's then. What is this mod that I can do to them?
