Personally I prefer either Maxi-jets or hagen 802's...I use both and they are quality products.

The 802 is an awsome PH. They are reversible and you can also control the flow.

whoa i just read the specs on that, wont it blow my fish into the next galaxy hehehe ?, i know i can turn it down, but does a 40 high need that much juice ? and what advantage does reverve flow serve ? just to flush out a undergravel ?
Model 201 - output 126 gph, up to 20 gallons
Model 301 - output 174 gph, up to 30 gallons
Model 402 - output 270 gph, reverse flow 125 gph, up to 50 gallons
Model 802 - output 400 gph, reverse flow 175 gph, up to 75 gallons

Yep. I will agree that the hagens are darn good power heads.
I currently run a 55 with 2 301's
The 802 may be a little much for your tank if you run it wide open but they do have adjustable flow rates.
