Powerhead

I currently am using only 1 Rio180 powerhead in my 20L . I plan on placing a order with swf.com's u-build for a few coral's/fish.
I would like to add one more powerhead. I was going to consider one of these :
Penguin powerhead 660R or would just the 550 do ?
Or should I get a Maxi-Jet ?
Or is there one by which the flow swirls from left to right ?
Thank's :)

Read on another thread that others recommend a flow 10 times your gallons. For you size I would think that one more would do around the size of the other.. There is one called a "clean sweep", believe, that sweeps the flow back and forth.

MaxiJets and Hagan Aquaclears seem to be the favorites on the board. I use the aquaclears and have had great luck with them.

Go with Maxi Jet - they are the most used and most reliable. DON"T get a powersweep! They are notorious for breaking after a short period of time.

Go with Maxi-jet. You WILL NOT be happy with he power-sweeps. I have one in one of my tanks and the thing that makes it sweep back forth only worked for about a month. ;)

I use penguins, but it is only because I get them so dang cheap, I've never had a problem with restart, but......I will soon have a spray bar, and no power heads.

I prefer hagens cosmeticly. However any standard design pump that has a removable propeler should work efective for an extended period of time. Its just a matter of price and a name brand. I also have (2) jbj 2003 (I think about 13bucks a pop on ---- for 528gph....compare that price to hagens) They are working fine for me the only thing I dont like about them is that the intakes were simalar to the penguins and seemed to get clogged much easier. It was easily fixed by switching them out with the tronic heater gaurds (Thanks BangGuy). My hagens look much better too.
Out of curiosity anyone ever crack open a failed Rio pump to see how it works. Post some pic if you got em.

Havent had any luck with the power sweeps. I have taken back 4 of them in the last month. The petsmart keeps on giving me new ones though. This last trip i decided to just exchange them for Hagen PH's though. Much much better!

Stay away from the power sweeps. I have 4 sitting in a box because they stopped sweeping after about 1 month.

Thank's guys !
I placed an order for the following :
Azoo 180 (For mixing the water in a bucket)
And ,
Hagen AquaClear Powerhead Model 402 (In addition to the rio 180 already in the tank).
This should be enough to stri the water up. I also have a mechanical filter which uses seachem's Phosgard instead of carbon. That should stir the top layer quite well.
