Powerheads

Currently i have a Maxi Jet 400 powerhead. The LFS said i need to get another one and put it in the exact same spot as the other one, only on the other side of the tank so that i have equal amount of circulation. He said that if i have one powerhead then some of the corals will not feed and won't live long. Should i stick with the 400 or should i get a larger one and put it on the other side? I have a 20G tank.

With just the one powerhead, chances are there are some dead spots in your circulation. The LFS guy was probably suggesting that any corals in these dead spots might not be getting food, or moreso, current to sweep away slime and other things that may build up on them. I would follow the LFS's recommendation and a another powerhead to the other side of the tank. This will even out your current and be better in the long run for your animals.
