powerheads

I have been reading that some of you have powerheads in your tanks. I don't have one in my 10 gal as I find that my mini aqua clear filter really pushes the water around alot as it is. With a powerhead would it not create a whirl wind in there for the fish and corals?
The corals I have are: assorted mushrooms, xenia and feather duster.

It would be fine if you get a small powerhead in there. But if your filter's pump is 100+ gph then that is fine IMO.
