cheap but good: Koralias
expensive with better performance but flimsy build: Tunze nano
the ultimate but priciest: Vortech
for basic all purpose reefing (mixed reef) I'd do:
Koralia 2 (x2): total cost $70
Tunze nano 6025 (x2): total cost $140
Vortech MP20: total cost $300
as you can see each improvement doubles the cost. worth it? depends on who you ask.
