Powerheads?

I have a 100gal FOWLR tank that i am in the process of cycling. My questions is what size powerhead i need. My tank is in more of a square than a rectangle. The measurements are 2' deep and 3' wide. I have a RIO 1700 and a RIO 2100. I already figured the RIO 2100 was too stong because my tank isnt long enuff. I was wondering if the 1700 is too strong or is it ok. I put it in thier today and it made the tank a lil cloudy which prolly will clear up in a coupla hours but is that too strong for my tank because of my tanks shape?

tank size in gallons multiplied by 10 = gph (turnover/circulation you should have.) I've read some people do 20x or 30x, but at least 10x you should shoot for
get Maxi-Jets...most people have 2-4 powerheads in their system.
You want to avoid dead spots.
