Powerpoint

I know how to use this but 1 thing is buggin me. Ive downloaded a video to put in there and in windows media player it works. But when I play it on the slide show you can hear it but no picture. Also how do you get music to play threw the whole show, not just one slide. Thanks alot this is school work not for fun.

I haven't used the latest version of powerpoint so my observations may be limited.
The version I did frequently use at my former job would not work well with sound. I ended up just making a CD with the music I wanted, timing it, and spacing out the slides to be in sinc with the CD. Then I would play the CD seperately.
As for movies, I can't remember which, but the version I used only supported one type of movie. If you are using a different format it won't play.

I'm not the best with movies. With sound, I think when you have highlighted the sound icon on say the first slide, right click, and go to custom animation. It should show the sound clip it is playing. On the pull down for that item select effect options. Start playing from the beginning, and select to stop playing after however many slides. I think that may work....
