Powers out!!!

Bad storms at home knocked the power out and not sure when it will be back on. How long to I have before I start worrying? I have a 55 gal with small hippo tang, 2 clowns, 2 damsels. If it is not on tomorrow then I will get a small battery operated pump.

In this situation, circulation of the water is the primary concern so some type of circulationg pump needs to be your immediate concern since this how oxygen gets mixed into the water column. In this time of the year, temperature variations are of less concern and they will happen slower and may be tolerated better by your livestock. Any chance that you have a UPC that you can tap for a pump in your tank?

Well I wont have any circulation till I get back home with a pump tomorrow afternoon. So we may be looking at it being down 15 hours unless it comes back on before I get home. The stores were closed on today when I got them to get a pump. I will do a partial water change when I get home if it is not on yet

Thank goodness the power was only out for about 5 hours. Everything was fine when I got back home, whewwww.
