Powershot S40

Hey everybody.......
I have had my PowerShot S40 for about a couple years and its a nice camera for most things, but I wanted to get your input for taking better pics of my tank. I am a camera nubie, so any tips would help. Attached is a pic of my tank, everything is blurry (movement). Hard to see the tank inhabitants (Queen Trigger, Clown Trigger, Mappa Puffer, Raccoon BFly, Blue Line Grouper). Thanks everyone......

Here are some tips I've picked up from using my PowerShot S400:
- use the macro settings, for up-close shots use the 'flower' icon, should be easy to spot
- turn off all the lights in the room except the tank lights, then take tank pictures w/ flash off
- ISO 400
- Superfine pic quality
- don't zoom, zooming will diminish quality a bit w/ mine
- try experimenting with using the 'Fluorescent' setting, sometimes produces better pics, sometimes not
- I use the high-speed shot mode, takes three consecutive pics in a second, usually this eliminates any kind of motion blur due to not using a tripod
- if you have a tripod, try using it as well
- sometimes pics come out better with the Auto-Focus Lock (AFL)

That's a nice trigger, and the picture is pretty good as well. I'm still learning to take pictures of my tank, sometimes its frustrating. I would also like to see pictures of the puffer and the grouper if you get a chance. Still, it's a very nice tank!

Thanks everyone for your replys.. I will give the camera tips a try.... As for the tank, I will try to get some shots of the other guys, the Map isn't too tough since he sits around a lot. I do not have a huge problem with heat since I run all my filtration downstairs and its fairly cool there, it give the water a chance to cool down a bit. My tank stays at 81.2 - 81.5 all the time and everything seems to do well.

The tank is a 300 gal. I run all the filtration in the basement (utility room). I have a large sump w/ Bio balls, a 3ft Predator Skimmer run by a Mag 18. 40 gal refugium w/ Macro Algae. Return pump is a Dolphin 4500 (1/2 HP) I will try to get pics soon, but the Queen in particular is always moving... Thanks for the comments though!
