ppt levels?

I apologize if this has been answered before, but could someone post the critical ppt range levels for reef and marine tanks?
For instance, I know for hyposalinity, 14ppt is optimal.
Marine tanks: range 34-35?
Reef tanks: range?
I've been using a hydrometer until now, and I don't know how to correlate specific grav to ppt, though I know that they depend on temp....I just need the new numbers...

I don't mean to be a pain....
but could someone give me the ranges for both reef and marine? By knowing the range, this tells me how precise I must be with ppt levels as opposed to specific gravity.
If it is only 34-36 than I know I should be as close as possible....but if it is 32-38....
