Predaea weldii??

This just started growing out of my dad's tooth coral. The closest thing I could find was seaweed called Predaea weldii. It is not a hard, calcereous algae as we originally thought. It moves with the flow of the tank.
So is it this seaweed? Or do you have any other suggestions?

IMO, definitely some sort of red alga, I agree. What kind is harder to know.

Do you think it is something that we should be worried about becoming a nuisance?

DOnt worry about it I had some. If it grows too big just remove it and chances are it won't come back. Tangs love it from what I hear.

I bought some of that macro algae for my DT while my yellow tang was in QT.Within 2 days of his return to the DT, the macro algae was gone.If you have a tang,let him at it.I thought it'd be a pretty addition to the coral and LR in my tank.
