Prep work for large tanks

What needs to be done as far as the floor is concerned prior to placing a 150-300 gallon tank in your home? It will be positioned against the wall towards the corner of the room. Concerned about any effects as far as damage to the floor? <img src="graemlins//eek.gif" border="0" alt="[eek]" />

What kind of floor r u on? if your on a cement floor theres no prob but if your on a wood floor with beams underneath it there some things to consider. with out knowing anymore the best i can tell you is to make sure your stand for the tank has a solid bottom so the weight is spread evenly across as much of the floor as possible, but with more info we could give you more info

It's a wood floor with carpet on it, actually in our family room. Up against the outside wall by the corner of the room.... What else would you need to know?
