prepping rock for tank

Hello, I have a tank downstairs with about 40 or more pounds of (dead) live rock. It has been out of water for about a year and a half. I would like to put it into my DT (established 2+ years). What can I do to ensure no problems with causing spike or water problems. I dont want to cure it in a tank. Can I boil to ensure everything is removed from it?

if it has been out of water that long , just wash it in RO water and wash off any debris and put it in your tank, There is for sure nothing living on it any more so there will be NO die off to trigger any type of spike. You'll be fine .

Thanks for the reply, its good to know it should be that easy. Its already very clean and white,, so it shouldnt need much for washing!
