So i was wondering on the back of sand it says to prewash it? How in the world would you prewash sand? :notsure:

O well i know live sand doesnt need to be, but i was reading the back of some aragonite substrate and it said to prewash, and i thought that would be kinda hard cause its so small. But i see the bucket thing working.

I tried using a strainer and tub and it still made my water cloudy and I had to siphon off a layer of dust when I first set up my tank. I don't know why they don't prewash it before selling and it caused a big head ache so the better you can wash it, the less stress later.

Well im making a switch over from CC to sand today and Im going to get LS. Although people have told me to not change every thing at once, there really isnt anything in my tank besides LR, Glass anemones, and some worms. SO regardless of what every one says im just going to do one huge change and see what happens. If i cause a spike then so be it im not planning on getting anything any time soon. So another cycle wont hurt.
