prism problems, collection cup filling too quickly!

Within a matter of minutes, the collection cup is filled with water. I just turned it on a little while ago (1/2 hour or so)and if I turn the intake so that less water comes in, the collection cup fils in about two minutes. If I leave it so the full flow of water comes in it is very noisy, makes the water very turbulent and the collection cup still fills very quick. In about 5 mins. Am I doing something wrong with it?

Is it new? If so it will take a little time and adjusting to get it where it needs to be. I went through the same problem when first getting mine. I just adjusted mine so you couldn't see the air bubbles in the main tank and went from there. You'll figure it out just be patient. Good luck!!

You need to turn the water control valve on the intake almost all the way off then start opening it slowly, start with very small adjustments every 10 to 15 min. until you see the bubbles in the throat of the skimmer. With a new prizm you need to take it slow at first that is the one draw back to them, but once you get it set it does one heck of a job. Good Luck
