Prism Skimmer Propeller

I finally got my new propeller for my prism from red sea. For all those who complain it is too loud, then the new propeller is for you. Just email red sea with your name address and a message requesting for the free propeller and you will receive it in the mail within a week.

Oh yeah? Were you the guy that informed us about this a few days ago? Well, thanks, I did place my order and one is on the way.
And, BTW, I am one of the ones that complain about the noise....I am complaining now as I type as my little temp tank sits right behind my puter and and the prizm noise is driving me NUTS! LOL. So, is there a big difference in the noise factor? What about quality of skimmate?

I am not that guy, but did read his post. In my opinion, it is a big difference in the noise factor and I believe it skims better too. The difference with the new propeller is it has more blades.

Are you guys talking about the ENTIRE impeller being replaced? I mean the cylindrical magnet and everything that goes into the pump chamber?

I just got mine in the mail today. Not much difference in the noise, though perhap slight. Will have to report back on any differences in performance.

I must admit, it is still quite loud, but a significant improvement or maybe I am just used to the noise. As far as the function quality, I have seen no change since I installed it a few days ago.

It is still noisy but the noise is more of a water sound rather than a air suction sound. I wish I knew of a silent skimmer! I'd get it no matter the cost!

You don't have to email Red Sea I called the number on the back of the skimmer manual.
Beth my lfs has a quit ho skimmer but many people say they do not like it. It is the SeaClone. I saw it and it looked pretty eficiant.

I had the seaclone and tried various modifications which never worked. I finally thru it away, but still have the pump, which was the only thing that ever did work. It's not all that quiet either.
BTW everyone, the new impeller has been installed for a couple of days now, and things have quieted down....its not silent, but its a lot better.
