Prism Skimmer

What is the general opinion on Red Sea Prizm skimmers?
Better than my Seaclone?
How well do they work?

Berlin is better, but this is relative. Compared to something like Euroreef or Tunze, all the above are a waste of time.

Unfortunately, there is no way I can afford a Euroreef in the forseeable future.
I was trying to find something that would be better than my SeaClone.

I have a Prism Pro Deluxe and I came very close to throwing the thing at the wall. It is very fussy to tune however it works great once you get it figured out. ( I wouldn't buy another though if this one broke down...it's worth spending the extra money right away)

It's better then nothing. I have run one for a couple years on my 46 reef. It works. But, you do have to pay attention to the waste in the cup. You churn to much and she over flows not enough and you arn't doing anything. But, After awhile you will have it tuned to where every couple days you adjust the flow. But, it does work. and if you don't have a sump you don't have much choice. I wouldn't rely on it on anything bigger than my 46 though.

Look at the asm skimmers if you have a sump the are "euro-reefs without the price tag" I think one for up to a 100g. runs about $200 witch is cheaper then a aquac remora pro and does 10x times a better job.
