Prism Skimmer

I just bought a prism skimmer this morning a hooked it up to my 75G with 50lbs. of LR, 80lbs of live sand, 25 hermits, a banded coral shrimp, 10 snails, an arrow crab and 2 brittle stars. well anyway, I'm new to the prism skimmers and have heard good things but i don't know what to expect. when the foam reaches to collection cup it is very fine and white. when it reachs the bottom of the cup, the foam turns into a puddle of water. is this normal? how should the foam flow be? should it be constant or to the point that foam only falls into the cup ocassionally? what should my skimmer be doing is what I guess I'm trying to ask. still new to this hobby abd need the info!

After a "break in" period, your cup should fill with murky greenish brown water. Not a whole lot but should be that color. If your getting alot of water out ( almost clear) you may want to turn your air down a little if applicable.
