Prizim Skimmer

I just turned my 55 into a salt tank and i need a new skimmer ithink im going to get a prizm but not sure if it is any good if anyone knows please tell thanks

If you will use our search feature and type in Prizm, will get many, many topics regarding this skimmer.
Most are happy with it, but it is a cheap skimmer. If you go with this skimmer, Red Sea has made a replacement impeller wheel for it that has 18 rather than the 12 pinwheels. This seems to have quieted the skimmer down a bit. If yours does not come with the new immeller, then you can contact Red Sea, and they will send you one for free.

jeff; If you get one just check the side panel it will say either 12 blade or 18 blade impellar in list of features. I have one and love it and I must say" simple is better and cheap sometimes is good" as in the case of these skimmers.

I got one too in my 60 gal tank and it works great.
