prizm bubble help

Ok I know that the Red Sea prizm skimmer is not the greatest skimmer, but I don't have the funds to buy a new one at the moment. Anyway, I am getting alot of bubbles in my tank all of the sudden. I can't even turn the skimmer flow up halfway. I was just hoping that someone could help me out with a solution. I tried putting the skimmer in the new wet/dry sump that i bought but the bubbles were only magnified by the return pump so I have temporarily hung it back on the tank. But i can't seem to get it adjusted correctly. I would love to put it back in the sump if anyone can give me a suggestion for how to do it.

i've two of those rat baztards just b/c they're cheap on eway. i have to check them everyday and adjust almost every other day. water levels are important, top off 4 times a week or so. i have to reprime 2-3 times a week also (where you move the air tube from one connection to the one 1/2" away). your flow cannot be half or full on, i use 3/4 all the time and it still freaks up. it's a cheap skimmer if you check everything on all of your tanks everysingleday, but not worth the money compared to others. so, basically be prepared to check and adjust every other day at least.
they aren't great, but on a budget they're something.
