What type of skimmer are you getting? I have a prism and am very happy with it. With the prism skimmer i noticed that if stress coat is added to the water, LOTS of micro bubbles will be present comming out of the return. After the stress coat disapates (a day or two) the bubbles will disappear. You should be fine with using R/O water and stress coat can still be used occsionally when you feel it is nessessary. HTH

Whenever you add stresscoat, medications, and most addatives the skimmer should be turned off for a day or two. These addatives will likly cause your skimmer to go nuts.It is actually trying(and sometimes succeeding)to pull out the product.

My prizm reacts to even Zoecon being added, however, the reaction time is minimal.
