my prizm skimmer is working good and producing that nasty brown smelly gunk. it took me a while to get it adjusted right, to get that dry foam. but it is still putting bubbles in my tank, but im scared to adjust it cause it too so long to get producing skimmate. should i turn it up or down to get rid of bubbles?

Let the bubbles go for a day or so, this normal break-in for most skimmers.
In order to get rid of bubbles, though, you'll need to turn the skimmer down.

You have to tweek the prizm to get the combination of foam vs no bubbles. How long has the prizm been up and running?
You can turn it down, and if you're not satisfied just move the valve open again. The valve only requires extremely minute changes in order to change the the skimming process.
Bubbles usually disappear as the skimmer break in completely.

As long as you are getting the skim you want, leave it alone. The bubble situation will settle down after a couple of weeks. You can also try conditioning the skimmer by soaking it in a water-vineger solution. Be sure to get the vinerger out before returning the skimmer to tank use!!!!
