Hello! I have just received my order for a used 150 gallon wet/dry filter with a built in protein skimmer, and I don't know about a couple things. First when the water comes in the protein skimmer compartment how does it get high enough to go over the whole blur filter pan on top of the bio balls compartment? I tested it with my kitchen faucet to see before I hooked it up to my aquarium, and when the water gets up to the blue plate it just falls through an opening right before the blue plate. Second question... There is a hole on the lower part of the one end. The hole has a black

in adaptor that goes in there, but nothing else. All i can think of is where the clear tubing would go for the return pump, but I dont think that it will be a tight enough seal for it. I have looked on the internet a bit and can't find a wet dry filter picture that has the hole on the one end with the black adaptor like this one has. I hope this isn't too confusing. Please if you can help at all let me know. Thanks

The hole in the end is more than likeely for a pump and it is a bulkhead.
A picture would help so as we can see exactly what your wanting to know and see what you see.

Yes i contacted the seller, and he confirmed it is a bulkhead. I will just get a plug cap for it since I am going to use a submersible pump. THanks! Now All i need to find out is how to get the water to flow over the plate. I will try and add a picture of the unit!

I think I've attached a picture of the proclear 150. I'm a little new to this. I have a proclear 75. The water fills up the first compartment with the skimmer and then overflows to the second compartment with the tray and bioballs. So I can't say I know why it would have an opening that keeps water from flowing overr the tray. Does your tray have one side without a lip? If so this side goes toward the skimmer on mine. Otherwise I'm stumped.

You can look up proclear aquatics and they have a site with a phone number and email. Though I emailed a tech question once and they told me to call. I have a proclear model, and I am not sure what you are reffering to...so I would guess most would be confused unless they had the exact model. Give them a buzz and I am sure they will have you up and running in a few minutes
