problem curing rock

I am currently curing 2 pieces of live rock and I went golfing yesterday morning, and came back and my water felt really really hot, so I took the heater out and put a bunch of ice in a ziploc threw it in hoping it would cool down. Just wondering what the adverse effects may be of my water getting so hot. Thanks

A high temperature may cause some dieoff, but I really wouldn't worry about it. I'm sure your rock is going to be fine. The pods and other fauna that live in live rock are actually quite hardy. There are also spores and eggs in the live rock that will hatch later in your tank.
