i talked to a customer in the store that i work at and he explained to me something that really stumped me. he has a white film but not slimy and it doesnt have any texture. he said it wont come off with a scraper but he hasnt tried a razor blade just yet. he has no high levels besides a little high ph. only live rock and fish and no corals. his lights are on only 8 hours a day and there is a good amount of curculation. there is also no sunlight getting to the tank. any ideas of what this might be? any suggestions please help. i thought it might be a calcium build up but im not sure. his tank has only been up for 2 months.
