it's not the unit itself. it's the setup i believe. i have the sensor mounted in the sump and the pump in a thirty five gallon rubbermaid trashcan supplied with ro water. the problem is that after the pump finishes pumping, water continues to flow from the tubing. the tubing is running through a hole ive punched (and siliconed) at the base of the container. the water actualy has to travel about a foot or so UP to the sump. both the sump and can sit on the floor below the tank. any suggestions on how to rectify??

Your 35 gallon rubbermaid water level is higher than the sump isn't it??
I had the same thing. Run the tunze return line up to the display tank.

Agreed run it to the display tank and add a check valve. Also make sure you take full advantage of the Osmolators safety features by mounting the float switch beside the sensor and setting the threshold to about 1/4 inch. That way if the level rises even 1/4 inch the alarm sounds and the osmolator pump is disabled.
