hey guys...ummm, my tank is leaking and gotta take about half of the water out...if u put it in a bucket with the filter could i still keep the fish in the tank without the filter because the filter wont work in the tank if the water level is to low....so would it be ok if i left the fish in the tank for a bout a day without the filter???

Best to drop a small powerhead in to keep water circulating and make it ripple water suface for airiation. IMO if you value you fish, and Im sure you do, not worth the risk without one. The water saved in the bucket with filter is fine to reuse. Make sure silicon ( if thats what your useing ) is aquarium safe and has time to cure good befor refilling. Do a normal water ( 20 % ) change after also
