Problems w/ blueleg hermits?

Going to order a crab/snail algea control package to take care of some emerging hair/turf algea. I have always used the Scarlet Reef hermits but this time I'm thinking about the blue leg hermits because I can get more crabs for the money. I've heard the bluelegs will kill the astrea snails is this true?

Yes it's true. They will also kill each other.
IMO, go for different type of snails. I have 1 hermit crab, I've had him for about 2 years.

LMB's and emerald crabs are great for hair algae

yes, they will kill each other, i do not like them one bit, i waste money on them to kill each other for their shells and now i have a bunch of ungly shells on the bottom of my tank and they killed my scarlets and the only crab they didnt harass was the zebra's and that is b/c they are just like the bluelegs, BEWARE
