PROBLEMS

First of all i have a 150 gal tank, with 25w UV light, plent of rock and caves, and restarted about 6 months ago. I have a snowflake, puffer, huma huma trigger, lion, bursa trigger, coral beauty, red coris wrass, yellow eye tang, and 3 agressive damsels. I had to start over from Coral Reef Disease that i acquired somehow(Complete tank overhaul).
Anyway, I have a yellow eye tang who has major face bloching discoloration. He has had it for about a month now, but is performing very well. I have had him for about 4 months, but don't know what the problem is. Any ideas of how to treat or what it could be?
I also have a Bursa trigger that has apparently developed ick and is in quarinte. Now the lion is developing it also. I am using Cupramine, fresh water bathes (9part fresh 1part salt). shouldn't the UV light take care of the ICK in the main tank, or will all my fish need quartined?
Last but not least, my porqcupine puffer no longer swims around. He just hangs out in the caves i have built. Also his color flucuates constantly. He eats and all, but just doesn't swim much anymore. Could he have a disease?
I would really appreicate any help i could get, due to the fact i this is the third time i have overhauled the tank.
Thank you.

i will start the hyposlanity immediately. but how much how fast in a 150 gallon tank as far as gallons removed, and gallons of fresh re-added (a reccommended schedule would be great if it's not too much trouble). i do this for 4 weeks if i've read up on the issue correctly.
you're right about the tang. all i feed him is aquarium flake and he eat's constantly off the alge in the tank. the puffer issue, i will probably leave him in and see what happens. do i need to raise the temp in the tank? i keep it at 77F. i will keep you more than informed on the issue and am open for you help.
Thank you ever so much Terry B, and keep the info commoning!

I saw the onset of ICK and used garlic in one feeding... My tang, bluebird wrasse and damsels all got bright and healty within 10 hours.. garlic is good.. try it before you buy a UV..

woke up this morning to see that my red coris wrasses was dead. showed no signs of ick, so i'm not sure what happened. the hyposalinity began last night, and is a 1.017. all other fish are doing well. i'll report back tonight.

so far all the fish except the trigger is doing well this evening. i have supplemented the tang's diet with seaweed selects red marine algae to treat the discoloration. the trigger still needs some work. however the petstore that i bought the trigger from said that the fish was just stress out and didn't have ick. is this possible? i've never seen a fish stress out and get white spots all over his body. they haven't gone away yet, so maybe he is correct because i figured that the 2 fresh water dipps would have killed all the parasites on the scales of the fish. let me know if you think that this is possible.
Thanks

i discontiuned the FW dips yesterday. i have began to lower the salinity, and it's not @ 1.0175. so far so good. good news so far is that the trigger with the spots is eating very hardy. he's really doing well. the coral beauty on the other hand isn't. it's breathing hard, i think because the yellow eye tang won't leave him alone. however there are no sign's on any spots on the other fish. i did but the infected trigger in the main tank by the way this evening. we'll see what happens and i'll keep you informed.
Thanks

Terry B, the coral beauty is breathing heavy and is struggling to swim and is always on the bottom. however it only has 1 visiable spot on his gill plate and i can't determine if its ick or not. any ideas?

Terry B, so far so good. i have the specific gravity at 1.011 according to a red sea hydrometer. it's the plastic kind. i don't have access to a lab style. there are none to be found in this city. from your experince, what would you suggest that my hydrometer read in order for it to be as close as possible? the coral beauty did die, however everything else is doing really well. also my water temp is @ 80 degrees, is this where you would keep it? please let me know your feed back.
Thanks.
