Eliminate the cause/source of the algae, and you will eliminate the algae.
What is your nitrate and phosphate level? What is your pH and kH level? What kind of algae do you have? What kind of water are you using (tap or RO)?

Lower your phosphates if they are high, and stock up on the cleaner crew
