there are several options, is your signature correct, 3 tanks, if so, which tank, what is in it and the other tanks for stock, and so on
to make this short, do you have enough room to keep the fish in another tank, and do the swithc??
or not
if not, you can remove a little at a time, and do it in sections, with a week or 2 between each session
or you could take out the cc and replace it with the sand, nad place the cc in stockings, then put them back into the tank, for a couple of weeks, to give the life a chance ot migrate into the sand
all 3 options have worked for others, in you case, if i could, i would move the fish, na dswitch, then do the next tank after it stabilizes(and runs a month or so)
