Im relatively new to salt water hobby and have a 125 gallon thats been running for about 3 mths inside the tank i have:
45 lbs live sand
75 lbs live rock
3 yellow tail damsels
1 hippo tang
2 skunk cleaner shrimps
2 blood red fire shrimps
1 sand sifting star
Im using a ProClear Aquatics skimmer rated for a 250 gal aquarium and im not seeing much get taken out of the water is this a horrible skimmer or is their not that much in my tank yet????????? I empty the skimmer about once a day and the water is slightly brown with little chunks and particles in it. Is it not suppose to look like day old coffee??? The water doesnt really have much of a smell to it either. Anything helpful would be greatly appreciated

Make the bubble coulmn a little lower in the skimmer. That way you will get a drier foam. The drier foam should look darker and have a stronger smell.
