Technically and scientifically, acropora is pronounced Ah-crop-or-ah, but you're average reefer will look at you like an idiot if you say it that way. C'est la vie.

I've always heard chaeto pronounced shay-toe. That could be totally wrong, but I'm just curious about this one as long as we're on the subject.

Hey, now! I never called it Cheeto.

Then again, I suppose shay-toe isn't too far off. I still like that pronunciation better anyway.

I was talking about myself. I didn't exactly say cheeto but it was pretty close. I would say that my pronunciation was more along the lines of "CH - aye - toe), so it was the Canadian version of chester cheetah going for those t-h-e-e-n-g-s (lol).
