propagating green anchor coral

I have a green anchor coral that is growing like mad. When it is fully extended it is about 10 inches in diameter and is pushing against some live rock and the front glass. I am wondering about cutting (propagating) it, but would like to have some advice first. At night when the coral is contracted I can see five very distinct portions of the coral skeleton.
Thanks for the adive,
Jeff :D

I don't know anything about cutting it but if it is branching hammer coral I know if one part dies it does not effect the rest so it seem very likely that you could cut part off with no ill effects.

Euphyllia sp. are very easy to propagate simply by cutting a branch off, the only thing you have to worry about is to give enough distance between the ployp and the cut so you dont cut into the corals tissue. Then you can just super glue the branch to new rock. HTH

you can break it where the split is. a good pair of pliers works wonders to do this.
