Proper lvls?

I got new salifert test today and i tested my tank water and my water change water,i just wanted to see if my lvls were ok
Tank lvls
Temp 79
Amon.less than .25
mag 1320
cal. 420
nitrite 1.0 <--i know this needs to go down
nitrate 20 ppm
alk. 3.54
kh. 9.9
ph. 8.2
salinity 1.025
water bin lvls(salt is made by IO)
Temp 79
amon. 0
mag 1170-1320
hard to tell,started to turn color at 1170 but was definant color at 1320
nitrite 0.05
alk. 4.85
kh. 13.6
salinity 1.025
cal. 480-490
ph. 8.2
nitrate 5.0

Looks good except the ammonia and nitrites need to be 0.

is the water bin, freshly mixed saltwater? then you wouldn't have any nitrites or nitrates
but ditto, ammonia and nitrites shoul be zero.

Maybe your dog is drinking from it (before you add the salt) and is heavily drooling in it... causing the levels to be off. :notsure:
