Propogating Halimeda

How do I do this? If I just pull a stem off at the base, how would I go about reattaching it? I had a few strands come on LR and they really grow FAST...I was just planning on giving it to a few people...how should I tell them to anchor it?

thats a good question. halimeda is different from caulerpa, but i would assume that if it is positioned in an area where it is happy, it will attatch itself as it grows.
If you find anything out about this, please post it here.

I have a lot of halimeda in my tank, I just got rid of a 1gal ice cream bucket full, anyways I have done it 2 ways and both have worked, I have stuck it in the sand bed till roots started growing and they always did, then I could put them anywere or i have stuck them in holes in the LR, they have always taken that way too.
