Protein skimmer doesn't work n e more

I had my skimmer for about 4 months and it worked fine until this week, It doesn't bring up any foam anymore. Could my water be that clean? I don't think so. Can a skimmer break somehow? Does it have to be perfectly vertical? Do I have to clean the skimmer with warm water?

Protein skimmers do break, they do have to be verticle, and you should clean them once every couple months.

ok thanx for the info, I fixed it. Just had to adjust the bubble flow a little that was all.

also the lower the salinity the less effective your skimmer is so check your salinity to see if you added to much fresh water or didnt add enought salt during a water change
