Protein Skimmer for 24g Nano

Just set-up a 24g jbj nano tank for reef and inverts only. I purchased a Aqua Euro USA Nano Skimmer 2 and the thing keeps overflowing no matter what I do. I had it working fine and then the next day it was overflowing again. Anyone have this problem and know of a solution? Is this just a bad skimmer? Does anyone have a good skimmer for a nano tank?

tunze nano skimmer is a good skimmer i hear. why not do water changes? its better IMO to do that since its a nano.
