How long have you had it? New skimmers usually require up to a few weeks before they start working.

how long have u had your tank going? open your are valve up slowly untile u get a air pocket in the j tube then close it back slowly untile no air pockect i hope that helps

With no disrespect, it should not take a few weeks for a skimmer to function correctly unless its a new tank setup. Then it somewhat depends on what you have living in it (LR, LS, or fish) and how far along it is established.

hey 2k4, is your dmax an allie cc shortie or what? I just got rid of mine...tired of puttin $100.00 each week in it just to commute to work, way too much truck for a grocery getter. I have the crappy skimmer blues too. When I have my hand (arm) in the tank to do anything it usually takes a while until the skimmer produces bubbles again. Check to see if your air tube is sucking air...it might be clogged. Like someone said earlier, open the air valve all the way and get plenty of air in it then close it down slowly. Has your pump come unhooked? Mine blew itself off the inlet pipe once.

It ttok awhile for my Seaclone 150 to get working and It's been pulling stuff out of the tank great for over 6 months. The only issue is with the foam filter on the powerhead-when it gets dirty you have to pull it off and clean it. It can get dirty to the point that it just won't work at all.

Hey 2k4, do you have a tuner box on your dmax? I had a juicebox on mine and it woke it up big time. If you try it you'll like it.
Go to dieselplace dot com and dieselpage dot com, both are full of good information. Have you done the high idle mod yet?
