protein skimmer help

are ASM protein skimmers worth while? i was thinking about getting the ASM G-3 skimmer but if they perform poorly i wont.

I have an ASM G2 and I love it. Wish I would have gotten the G3.

I modeled my diy skimmer after the asm/euroreef design and use the sedra needle wheel pump. it works better than any other one I've owned

there are alot of people on here that say they are not worth the money. They are modeled after the expensive euroreef skimmers. I have a G3 on my aggressive, and a mini G on my 46 reef I really like the G3, and the mini works well for it's size.
