Protein skimmer or not?

i have a 26 gallon nano and should i get a protein skimmer? I have 2 gobys and wrasse and a live rock if that a differnce... I do weekly water changes and if i needed one and if someone could direct one to me on this website i would really appreciate it !!!!

I would say no to getting a protein skimmer, but...it would never hurt to add on. Have you considered drilling 2 holes in the back and purchasing a sump & pump?

I have a 20 and and I use a protien skimmer. I would go and get your self some more live rock. Live rock is a much beter means of filtration than a hang on the back skimmer or something like that. Try www.protienskimmer.com They sell the skimmer I have the Aqual C Remora with the sufface skimmer option. You can see it hanging in the back of the tank (the surface skimmer) The acual skimmer is very thin and easy to hang on the tank. It can also be used in a sump. The thing works wonders.

another alternative is by sachem
it a filtration bag that you can chuck in you filter or sump it works wonders and around 12 bucks
best part is that once its soiled and tired you can soak it in bleach and rinse and allow to dry for a few days and walla.. new again!
doubles wee as a skimmer since your load is quite low.
