Protein skimmer question

I have an excaliber skimmer. When ever we add water or put something new in a large amount of bubbles start pouring out the bottom. If anyone happens to know what the cause of this could be and how to fix it I would greatly appreciate it

Whenever the weight of the water changes (dillution ratio of contaminants and trace elements), a skimmer will require adjusments. You can accomplish this by reducing the amount of air being sucked into the venturi valve, or by reducing the flow rate of the water pump.

Yeah...exactly what he said. Anytime I do H20 changes, and/or add chemicals, my skimmer goes haywire until I adjust it. It's just on of those things that come W/the territory of doing SWF. It's nothing major, just adjust your skimmer each time you change your water. It should be the first thing you do after adding the water.
